About this Course

Did you know that effective self-defence is 90% prevention? Empowered Defence Centre is presenting an upcoming workshop with the Stony Plain Youth Centre. Youth will learn how to identify, avoid, and escape from potential threats. Youth will also discuss the responsibility and accountability of using physical self-defence. Join us on Friday October 11th, from 10:00am-1:30p.m. to feel safe, strong, and empowered! Pre-Training Checklist: Youth Centre Registration is required! - To register, refer to the Stony Plain Youth Centre page and find "How do I Register" (www.stonyplain.com/youth-centre) - Register online! - If online registration is a barrier, please visit the Youth Centre or call (780)968-3846. What to pack for Community Helpers: Water Bottle, Athletic Clothing. Schedule Please arrive at Empowered Defence Centre 15 minutes prior to training. Session begins @ 10:00am 15 minute breaks when the training permits. Session ends @ 1:30pm Acknowledgements - By signing up to attend this training, you acknowledge that your youth will be attending a self defence training class. They will be performing practice exercises on dummies and performing basic exercises with a partner. All exercises are completed under the direction of the instructor. - Trainings are subject to minimum registration minimums and requirements. If minimum registration is not met 24 hours prior to the event, the trip will be cancelled.
