
Course Overview This course teaches youth how to care for children of different ages, respond to emergencies, and promote themselves as babysitters. The training follows the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course guidelines. Course Content - Leadership and responsibility - Decision-making and managing difficult behaviours - Child development and age-appropriate strategies - Feeding, diapering, dressing, and playing with babies and children - Preventing and responding to unsafe situations - Basic first aid skills - Babysitting as a business What to Bring - Water bottle - Comfortable clothing for interactive activities - Notebook (optional) - Hair Elastic Course Schedule 📍 Location: Stony Plain Community & Social Development Office Forest Green Plaza ā #107, 4613 52 Ave, Stony Plain 🕛 Time: 9:00AM -4:00PM - Arrive 15 minutes early - Includes 30 minute lunch break - Includes a certificate presentation at the end of the session!
