Join us for an evening of teachings, sharing, and creativity. Together, we’ll explore truth, resilience, connection, and hope that will help shape a community artwork piece. About the project - The Town of Stony Plain is working to re-imagine the original 2013 Project of Heart Mural that was located at the Stony Plain Youth Centre. This Mural was removed in 2025 due to weather decay. Our goal is to gather youth/participant perspectives, stories, values, and themes that can help shape the direction of the final artwork in a respectful and culturally appropriate way. This information will then be shared with the artist who will be creating an Indigenous themed art piece inspired by the original 2013 Project of Heart. Participants can choose to talk, draw, write, bead, symbol build, or simply listen as we connect. All youth ages 11-17 welcome to listen, learn, and create. Dinner will be provided. If registration gives you an error, it may be because participants require the 2026 Youth Centre Membership. Visit www.stonyplain.com/youth to learn how to get it. If online registration is a barrier, please call (780) 968‑3846 or email youth@stonyplain.com.
